Oak Island 2011-Day 6

Today, Jaxon finally was able to surf! He picked up right where he left off last year! Camron and Caden still haven't decided to try it but I'm sure they'll pick it up quickly as well if they are anything like Daddy-O and big brother!

Heading out!

Look at him go!

They were perfectly content in playing in the sand!

My precious babies! I LOVE them! This was from our mini photo-op tonight! Of course there is more to come ;)!

Oak Island 2011-Day 5

Today started out slow! We had a BIG 'ole storm last night. Loud thunder, sideways rain, the works so this morning was slightly gloomy. That was fine by me because once again, a certain little princess decided to rise before the sun! I took advantage of the slow morning and was slow moving! Poppi, Daddy-O and Jaxon went down to the end of the island fishing. A few years back, Poppi took a picture kissing a fish he had caught....well, if Poppi did it, it must be the thing to do.....

Jaxon kissing a speckled trout.

Now Jaxon showing off the big fish! ;)

The kids posing for me on the beach.

The boys thought it was hilarious how Jossalyn acted when she felt the water pulling her back!

She still likes to eat the sand! Maybe we aren't feeding her enough.....(hahaha)

Man, she's cute!

How gorgeous is this sunset? The beauty of the beach just amazes me!

Me and Daddy-O after dinner in Southport tonight.

And yes, a lady asked us tonight if we were twins. I just hope I look this good when I'm in my 50's!

Isn't is pretty?

Oak Island 2011-Day 4

We had another great day today! We, well, I got up early (not by choice) with Miss Priss. I had a nice BIG cup of yum-yum before Nana and Grandma cooked us a nice, big breakfast! We hit the beach and had a great time. The boys built a moat around me and my beach chair and built an entire town. When Daddy-O came out, they built a fox hole, putting that Marine Corp training to good use ;)! See the picture below!

Note to self, wipe off lens before taking first picture!

Such a silly boy! I love the carefree, I can get sand (literally) all over my body and not care one bit attitude my kids have!

This is during the tornado watch. The house was shaking so badly it woke me from the nap that I finally got to take!

As quickly as it began, the storm was over and the sun was shining once again!

A little bit of Angry Birds while waiting for dinner to be ready!

Oak Island 2011-Day 3

The waves were rough today! This was a bummer for the boys because they weren't able to be out in the ocean as much as they like (all day). Daddy-O was able to get some surfing in so he was happy about that.

We can't get in them, so we'll just run from them ;)

I just love this picture. What a handsome guy!

Look at these heads we found just laying on the beach!

OH MY GOODNESS! This kid lost his head! He doesn't seem to upset about it!

YAY! Grandma and Papa came today!

And they brought Britt's Donuts. Yes, friends. This will put Krispy Kreme and Dunkin' to shame. Mark my words. Britt's Donuts at Carolina Beach are "smack your mama" good.

*disclaimer...no mama's were smacked in the making of this blog post...hehe

Oak Island 2011-Day 2

Mommy and Joss rocking our BIG shades! Hers didn't last long ;)

Once again, she loves the sand....I'm sure we'll be seeing it later. She ate quite a bit...lol!

Jaxon made a super cute turtle out of sand and shells. He also made a turtle baby and an alligator!

What would a day be without a little baseball? Yes, the ocean was the outfield!

My sweet boys! Cooling off after our game!

Jaxon getting ready to fish.

Poppi and Jaxon taking a break from fishing. This is true happiness on both faces!

Day 2 has been loads of fun! We lost Robin (you know, Batman's sidekick) to the waves. Oh, yeah, and Daddy-O's finger brace too. Wait, did I mention that at Chris's game last Monday he broke his finger? Yeah, well, he did. Now back to the beach...hehe! Between the 8 of us, we played in the sand, rode the waves, ate some sand, read our books, played baseball, took some naps (ahem, not Mommy) and lots lots more! We are having a great time! Tomorrow Grandma and Papa come! YAY!

Oh, and take a look at the picture below...SOMEBODY thinks she's grown...

Finally, before putting the camera away, one last pic of the big boys and Maggie down on the beach with the half moon shining above!

Oak Island 2011-Day 1

Look at this beach beauty! Joss loves the sand! She had no complaints at all! We'll see if this continues! :)

Camron and Caden running from a HUGE wave (okay, so maybe it wasn't huge.....)

My favorite morning spot with a big cup of yum-yum (aka coffee).
Day 2 is well under way so I am off to see what fun we might have today!

This is too cute not to share! I laugh when I think about what must go on inside the minds of babies! This blessed little girl has 3 big brothers who love her and dote over her constantly. It is precious to watch. They are always teaching her new things and once she learns something, they practice with her over and over (and over) again!
