As I sit here on the eve of our moving day, I can't help but think back to the many memories we have had in this house.  God has blessed us immensely during our years here.  These walls have heard roars of laughter.  They've heard giggles and whispers.  They've heard wailing and pain.  It's seen super heroes, Legos galore, hosted tea parties, held more people than we thought possible at parties....I could go on and on!  We may be leaving this house but the memories we'll take with us forever.  It is our prayer that the family that occupies this house after us, feels the warmth of love that we've felt here over the past 10 years.
My view from my quiet time chair.  I am looking forward to my quiet mornings in the Word in the same chair but at my new house ;)

Jaxon has shown interest in auditioning for plays for a while now.  After we saw some friends in Hans Christian Anderson recently, he was adamant that I look into it for him.  The next production holding auditions was for a musical, Suessical Jr.  As nervous as he was, he learned part of the song "Bare Necessities" from the movie Jungle Book.   When he auditioned he was the only one there who hadn't been in a play of some sort before.  He felt good about it and sure enough, he got the part of Sam I Am!  We are all so excited for him.  He is really enjoying rehearsals and we can't wait to see our big boy on stage!

Snow, snow and more snow

This year the weather has been ca-razy!!  We have had more winter weather then we know what to do with!  Our second snow of the season offered quite a bit and gave us some great sledding adventures! Poppi even sledded right into the retention pond down the street from our house.  I caught it on video and it was quite hilarious.  Jaxon built a snow fort.  While it was small it was sturdy!  Joss even got to the point where she liked sledding alone! She was fearless!!  It's been fun but we are ready for spring!!

Jossalyn is 3!

I cannot believe my baby girl is 3 years old!  She is such a smart girl with an incredibly sweet disposition.  She loves her brothers and wants to be as old as they are!  While there is a lot she can't do, she keeps up with them pretty well.  They love her SO much and let her tag along on nearly any adventure they have!  She's definitely a mama's girl but when she's tired she wants her Daddy and nobody else!  She knows she has him wrapped around her little pinky finger!  She loves Doc McStuffins, Dora the Explorer, Sofia the First, and anything lego and super hero (because of the boys of course).  Play-doh is a favorite as well as the colorful rice bin I recently fixed up for her!
Jossy, you are such a blessing to all of us!  That sweet voice and smile of yours makes many hearts melt on a daily basis!  You are so smart and we are very proud of you!  We love you so much and can't wait to see what this next year holds for you!

2014 you came out of nowhere!

It's hard to believe we are halfway through the first month of a New Year.  Don't blink....

A common theme amongst many blogs I've read lately, church sermons, etc is how fleeting life is.  Take time each day to tell those you love how much you love them.  If someone is important to you or has made a difference in your life, no matter how small, let them know.  I gave up choosing a word for the year last year....right along with those resolutions people speak of (ahem), but I do want to make it a point to be more intentional.  Intentional with my words and my actions.  Beginning with those in my home and spreading to those outside of my home.

End of the year fun

My sweet friend, Kelly, came up to help me tape off some of the rooms in the new house for painting.  The kids had a ball playing while we were silly while taping.  It's always a treat to get to see her and her family.
We thought it was hilarious the boys just happened to having on their Duke and Carolina sweatshirts!

Photo op ;)

The littles had fun taping too!

Nana and Poppi were SO sweet to let Jaxon have a New Years Even sleepover party at their house.  They even took the boys to Longhorn!!  They had stayed up late, partied hard and had a blast!
Aren't they handsome?!  This picture makes my heart happy.  I can remember when some of these boys were in diapers and others when they were barely out!

Christmas

Christmas is my favorite time of the year.  Celebrating the birth of our Savior is just an inspiring time.  I love how people tend to be just a little nicer and more patient.  I certainly wish that sort of kindness happened year 'round...but I digress.
We feel very blessed to be able to see all of our family at Christmas time.  We went to Durham a few days before Christmas and spent the night at Mimi and Grandpa's house.  On Christmas Eve we went to Nana and Poppi's.  On Christmas day we spent most of the day at home (in our matching sock monkey jammies) enjoying each other (and our gifts).  That evening we went back to Durham to have dinner at Grandma and Papa's.  It seems like a lot of running but it's all worth it to see all our peeps ;).    Choosing pictures to share was just too hard....but I somehow managed ;)
