End of the year fun

My sweet friend, Kelly, came up to help me tape off some of the rooms in the new house for painting.  The kids had a ball playing while we were silly while taping.  It's always a treat to get to see her and her family.
We thought it was hilarious the boys just happened to having on their Duke and Carolina sweatshirts!

Photo op ;)

The littles had fun taping too!

Nana and Poppi were SO sweet to let Jaxon have a New Years Even sleepover party at their house.  They even took the boys to Longhorn!!  They had stayed up late, partied hard and had a blast!
Aren't they handsome?!  This picture makes my heart happy.  I can remember when some of these boys were in diapers and others when they were barely out!

Christmas

Christmas is my favorite time of the year.  Celebrating the birth of our Savior is just an inspiring time.  I love how people tend to be just a little nicer and more patient.  I certainly wish that sort of kindness happened year 'round...but I digress.
We feel very blessed to be able to see all of our family at Christmas time.  We went to Durham a few days before Christmas and spent the night at Mimi and Grandpa's house.  On Christmas Eve we went to Nana and Poppi's.  On Christmas day we spent most of the day at home (in our matching sock monkey jammies) enjoying each other (and our gifts).  That evening we went back to Durham to have dinner at Grandma and Papa's.  It seems like a lot of running but it's all worth it to see all our peeps ;).    Choosing pictures to share was just too hard....but I somehow managed ;)

Fun Christmas activities

Christmas is always such a busy time!  We try to be careful in our choosing our activities to not get too stressed and to be able to focus on what's really important!
A few homeschool families went to Old Salem for candle tea.  The weather wasn't great but the company and the learning experience was!
The kids listening intently to the Nativity Story

Learning how candles were made.  When asked if any of them had ever made their own candles, only one child said yes.....my Joss.  She has not. :)

Our LCHE homeschool family is phenomenal.  Here is a pic of a lot (but not all) of the kids.

The kids at CBS came and sang for the moms the last day before Christmas break.  Look at that sweet little girl!  She might just be the cutest thing up there!

The GMOM annual Christmas brunch always has the BEST Santa!  Here are the boys posing with him.  Joss refused.  She knows it's Poppi but will not sit with him when he's Santa!
We love our DT days.  This day the boys were in full imagination mode while the mama's sewed away and the Daddy's were off on some crazy adventure I'm sure!

Chris' Parents get married....

again that is ;)
Today marked the 40th wedding anniversary for Chris' parents!  They celebrated by having a party and renewing their vows.  Chris "unofficially officiated" while Tiffy, Cooley and myself stood with them.  It was super sweet and a lot of fun!  Sandra even wore the same dress she wore 40 years ago!

Joss and Mercy date

These 2 girls have been friends for as long as they can remember.  I love how they love each other!  I also love how God played such a sweet part in how we all met!
They fight like sisters but share a sweet love that us mama's sure like to watch!  We are in trouble when they get older for sure!

Here are just a few pics too cute not to share.
Jossalyn and Kennedy sure are a pair.  They play together some and ignore each other others but man oh man are they cute?!?!  Here they are at Monkey Joe's taking a bouncing break (after much persuasion from me)

Movie Night at the Duke's!  The Williams kids came over to hang out for the Polar Express and some yummy popcorn.  Ok, and maybe a little wrestling here and there ;).

My sweet crazies on Thanksgiving.  I thank God each day for choosing me to be their Mom.  It is such a blessing.
