Camron Michael 2lbs 8oz

Caden Christopher 2lbs 4oz These are my sweet "little" boys. My boys who barely weighed 2 pounds at birth. One of which dropped below 2 pounds. 2 little boys. 4 very weak lungs. Lungs that despite the steroid shots first given at 24 weeks and watched
daily for the following month for "practice breaths" still just couldn't work when they made their GRAND entrance into this world almost 11 weeks before they were "due". Lungs that were given surfactant so they would be able to "work". Surfactant was discovered by research funded by the March for Babies. We strongly support this organization because of this! If any of you would like to walk with us this year in honor of Camron and Caden or any other child born prematurely, please join us on April 30th! You can get all the information you need
here. If you would like to donate to the cause, you can do so on that link as well! It is tax deductible! If you don't want to walk or donate, please just pray that we will have a good turn out and the Greensboro organization will meet their goal....and that one day, ALL babies will be born HEALTHY!
Here is a poem that I have probably posted here before. I wrote this some time before the first March for Babies event!
A premature baby Born too early, too small
Regardless of his size
He is the strongest of them all
Surgeries, tubes, wires
Daily heel pricks and more
Think of all the pain
His little body must endure
It will be a roller coaster ride
His doctors and nurses say
As his Mother and Father
You just bow your head and pray
And hope that the ride Isn't very long
And that you as his parent
Can be only half as strong
With God's will
And all the research being done
That day will soon come
When the fight with prematurity
Will be WON!!!
**anyone who plans to walk with us, please email me at
