Funny Story Friday

This is just cute....and I think it's funny! For whatever reason, Camron and Caden have started to call their stomachs "Papa bellies". I think it's b/c we joke with Papa after he eats b/c he pats his belly. Papa's actual belly is by no means big! Well, Chris recorded them doing it tonight! Notice how cute it is that Camron and Jones' jammies match while Caden's obviously do not. This would have caused me major anxiety had I been here....kidding!

School's out for SUMMER

Well, Jaxon graduated from Kindergarten last night! What a year it has been! He has learned so much and continues to amaze me daily! What a great reward...while we were out to eat after his graduation, Nana asked him what his favorite thing was that he learned about this year. His response was "learning to read and learning to write but the best part was I got to do it all with Mommy!" My heart melted! That literally was music to my ears. Being able to homeschool is such a blessing and I look forward to starting preschool with Camron and Caden and 1st grade with Jaxon!
Here is a slideshow of our graduation party as well as graduation pics!

From Caterpillar to Butterfly

For our butterfly unit, we ordered caterpillars so we could observe their metamorphosis first hand! The boys LOVED it! We got 6 caterpillars in the mail that we watched until they formed chrysalids on the lid of their jar! We then transported them, very carefully, to the butterfly "garden" while those things were shaking like CRAZY! We then watched and waited until we had 5 beautiful painted ladies! One did not make it, unfortunately! We took them outside and released them last night! The boys really enjoyed it... and so did we!

Strawberry Fun!

Today was a great day! We had Daddy-O home all day long so we decided to make the most of our day together! We took the boys to McDonalds for lunch where we actually went in and let them PLAY in the playplace. After that we went to Ingram's Strawberry Farm where we picked 20 pounds of strawberries. Nope, that's NOT a typo. We actually picked 20 pounds. What are we going to do with them...WELL, we froze some, we ate some, we gave some to Nana and Poppi and we plan to eat some more! We came home and Jaxon and Poppi planted cucumbers, squash, pumpkins, and watermelons to be moved to the vegetable garden at their house eventually...(Maggie would have a hay day if we left them here). I cut and washed ALL those strawberries while Daddy-O moved chairs and the grill around to the garage for our Memorial Day cook-out so we could beat the rain! Camron and Caden did NOT nap during all this FUN! Later, we had a GRRRRREAT time enjoying the "summer" evening eating hot dogs and hamburgers with the Barber's while the boys played in the wet grass! Our little buddy James is spending the night so all 4 boys are off to slumber land and this tired Mommy isn't far behind! Tomorrow starts another SUPER busy week of Dr.'s appointments, playdates, t-ball, A KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION, all during our LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL! WOO-HOO!

FUNNY STORY FRIDAY!

Yay, for me...I didn't forget today...FINALLY! SO, here is the funny story that some of you have been waiting for. A few Saturday's ago, it was our SS class' turn to set up chairs for service. We had a nice picnic outside at church and the kids and Daddy's played games. Weeeeeeelllll, Camron came up to me outside and told me he had to go potty. I told him to go throw his trash away and we would go in to the bathroom. I turned around for like 2 seconds to turn back and see Camron standing facing everyone who was out there with his PANTS AROUND HIS ANKLES, PEEING RIGHT THERE ON THE GROUND FOR THE WORLD TO SEE! I was so shocked I yelled and jumped up to pull his pants up. His brothers (and everyone out there) thought it was hilarious. I for one was crying I was laughing so hard. To make the story even better, a little while later, a friends toddler daughter walked right through the pee spot. THEN during clean up we realized she had a left a muddy "pee-pee" foot print on Darin's chair bag! I guess that's what I get for letting the boys pee outside when we are at home!

All-a Flutter

We took a field trip to a local butterfly farm yesterday. It worked out perfectly because we are studying butterflies this week for school! Here is a slideshow of some of the pics I took. Notice Jaxon is the first helper b/c he got the first question right! YAY for Jaxon...aka Mr. Smarty Pants!

Polymyositis, why are you here?
I know there's a reason but that reason is unclear!
My levels go up, my levels go down.
Putting a smile on my face, then a frown.
You came out of no where without even a warning
I just woke up feeling like crap one morning!
I thought you would stay a while and then leave
But, oh, polymyositis you have deceived!
Not sure if your stay will be shorter or longer
But I know one things for sure, because of you I am STRONGER!
