Not much going on in Dukeville! The boys are getting better, THANKFULLY! They are still grumpy bears, don't get me wrong but they are much better! I guess this is just the year for my entire family to be sick!
We FINALLY got out of the house today and went to the Children's Museum for a MOPS playdate. It was fun and the boys enjoyed it. Bless their little hearts, they probably thought we were holding them hostage in their own home because we haven't taken them out in so long!
Caden fell Tuesday night and hit his eye on the bathtub. It is the worst black eye I have ever seen on a child. He hit it so hard and his neck snapped back so vigorously that I was terrified. I picked him up and it was already bruised and HUGE. Chris was at work and I was in panic mode. I called Poppi to come over and check it out b/c I was afraid we need to go to the ER. The funny thing is, is that it's the same eye as Camron's hemangioma so they look even more alike now! He is fine but he looks like Rocky's mini-me. If I can get a good picture I will post it.

Could it be, could it be? My CK level is 123??

I am very pleased to say that for the first time since September, my CK level is NORMAL! I was under the impression that "normal" was below 120 but I found out today while talking to the nurse from my rheumatologist office that it is below 190. I know there are things that can change your "normal", so maybe that is normal for me! WHO CARES...the point is, is that mine are n-o-r-m-a-l!! YAY for me!

How sweet it is!

How sweet it is to have a son on either side of me and one on my lap snuggling oh so sweetly! Well, it sort of went like that....ok, so maybe not so much. This is actually how it went.....
Jaxon was sitting on one side of me snuggling when Camron came and climbed in my lap. Then Jaxon so "4 1/2ishly" said "my Mommy" so of course Camron pushes him in the head and replies "NO, MY MOMMY". So, they go back and forth for a while then I finally get them each on one side and they are happily snuggling. This lasted for like a milli-second when Caden who had been playing with a truck nicely on the floor pushes the back of the truck and it pops up and hits him in the head. So, what happens next...he screams! Does he want his Daddy-O....of course not! So, he comes over screaming at the top of his lungs knocking Jaxon AND Camron in the head saying "NO, MY MONNIE" over and over! THEN, I get Caden to lay on my lap, Jaxon on my right with his head on my shoulder and Camron on my left with his head on my other shoulder. Jaxon is happy, Camron is sort of happy, and Caden is screaming! And I was thinking, how sweet it is to have them love me so much! Isn't life grand!
Now, Camron and Caden are on their way to sleepy-land, Jaxon is getting ready to head that way, Daddy-O is watching the Duke game, and Mommy (aka Monnie) is about to go to the grocery store!

Can we say Reba and Kelly??

Ok, so, I thought I was going out to dinner with people from Chris' work tonight. How weird that Chris' boss would want to take his entire group and their spouses out to dinner so they could "meet" eachother but whatever...it was a free dinner at a nice restaurant so I was game. Of course I was a little anxious that I have to meet these people for the first time not looking like myself AT ALL, buuuuut, I got over it! So, we get to the restaurant (it was Out West in Kernersville, by the way, for those of you who are wondering!), go inside to the room where the dinner is and who sits there but my Mom and 2 of her friends. Did I mention my Mom was going to see Reba and Kelly Clarkson in concert tonight (and I wasn't invited)! Well, lo and behold it was all a trick! I WAS invited! I just didn't know it! So I didn't have to have dinner with a bunch of people I didn't know with chubby cheeks! I had dinner with people I DID know (with chubby cheeks =)) then I WENT TO SEE REBA AND KELLY! It was SO much fun. If you guys remember Barbara Jean from Reba's show, well, she was there and she was HI-LARIOUS. It was great. I took pics and took some video with my digital camera. Wait a minute, can I get in trouble for that??? Hmm, I don't think so...at least we're all friends here! Seriously though, THANKS MOM! I had a great time. See you tomorrow when you pick me up for our massage.

Question...

How can such little bitty bodies contain so much SNOT? I just can't figure out where it's coming from. Between my 3 boys, I think I could have probably filled at least 2 swimming pools....just today...maybe just tonight even...SERIOUSLY! I guess the good thing is that they are feeling better but their noses are just running like faucets!
So, other than that , things have been pretty calm around here. Daddy-O is sick now. That's no fun. Hopefully he will be better soon. We all know that Daddy-O's are pitiful when they are sick ;)!

So, I totally stole this blog idea thing TODAY but, hey, who cares! That's what blogs are for, right? I have so thought about doing this before but I just decided to actually do it today! Who knows if I will actually keep this up. Who knows what exactly I will post here but if it is about anything that goes on in mi casa, then it's bound to be of some interest!
Sooooooo, on that note.....what IS new in the Duke Household? WELL, for starters, Camron is a sick little boy. He has the croup and a high fever and he is miserable. He wants nothing but to be held which means Mommy can't get ANYTHING done. It's even MORE fun when Caden decides he wants to sit on my lap while Camron is already there so he starts pushing him off of me screaming "NO, MY MONNIE". Oh, did I mention that Caden calls me Monnie. Yes, as aggravating as it is, he won't say /m/ in the second half of Mommy. Actually, I think it's kinda cute now! Now Jaxon is trying his absolute best to be a good big brother and a good helper for me but it's hard when you have 2 little whiny brothers running around so what do you do??? Do you remember that saying "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em"? Well, he joins 'em! No, seriously, he has been a HUGE help! He goes back to pre-school tomorrow after a nice little break so that should be FUN! Mommy gets to start 20mg of prednisone tomorrow...YAY! Hopefully all will stay well and good and when I go for my levels on the 29th, they will be in the "normal" range. Daddy-O is working late tonight....ugh! He actually took dinner that I made to the current NICU parents tonight and shared our story with them before he went back to work. How sweet is that?! Ok, so that's about it for what is going on now. Hopefully this blog thing will work for me...we shall see!
