It's a very merry un-birthday......

In our house, we celebrate 1/2 birthdays! Yesterday was Jaxon's 1/2 birthday so he got 1/2 of a cake and his choice for dinner!
Today was Camron and Caden's 1/2 Birthday! They of course got the other 1/2 of the cake and their choice for dinner! Luckily they both wanted the same thing ;)!
I love these three boybarians SO much!

Mountain Get-Away

This past weekend Chris and I had the opportunity to go to West Jefferson for the weekend to "get away". It was SO nice. Words can't even describe how beautiful this place was. The cabin was phenomenal, the weather was perfect...it was just great all around!
Here are a few pics of our weekend! Oh, and we obviously had to take all the pics of ourselves...for some reason, Joss just couldn't hold the camera very well...;)!

Thankful Thursday

**Ok, so I know it is now Friday but yesterday was....different**

Yesterday morning as I lay in bed and try to fall asleep, at 4am nonetheless, I decided I was going to start a "thankful Thursday" entry to the blog. If nothing else I would post something from my "list" here. I planned to say that I was thankful that Jossalyn was "ok".
Earlier yesterday evening (around midnight) while she was eating she heaved REALLY hard like she was going to vomit, but didn't. I continued to give her her bottle and a few minutes later she began to cough. When I sat her up to pat her back, I noticed something on my hand. Chris turned on the light and she began spitting blood, a LOT of blood. She wasn't choking, thank God, but needless to say the blood was scary enough. We called our pediatrician who told us to take her to the ER. They checked her out thoroughly, did x-rays of her stomach and chest and found nothing! It's possible that with that strong heave, she created a tear in her esophagus or that there was some sort of tear way down in her mouth/throat that was unable to be seen. So, with all that said, that was what I was going to be thankful for.
When I woke up, later than usual obviously yesterday morning, I learned some devastating news. A couple from our church family lost their son.
I started to think of the chaos of our night.
I started to think of what this family may need, what I could do.
Prayer.
So many people were praying for Joss and our scare. We had no clue the seriousness of what was going on.
Prayer.
Who knows, something MAY have been WAY more wrong and God may have healed her.
Prayer.
Our friends who lost their son need PRAYER.
So, that is what I am thankful for.
Prayer.
I am thankful that I can get on my knees and talk, cry, scream...anything and my Heavenly Father hears me, knows my needs, knows my heart and hears me...even if I am making no sense at all.

Please be in prayer for the Rancer family, Phillip, Trish and big sister Katie as they mourn the loss of their little boy, Kaleb.
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Cloth Diapers and Such

Daddy-O and I decided a while back to use cloth diapers our "next go-round". Ok, well, maybe I decided and he reluctantly agreed..hehe! Anyway, after some purchases and returns and more purchases we have almost all of our stock and the little princess almost has a big enough bootie to fill these OH so cute cloth dipes! I am really excited about it! We even had a speaker at MOPS on Tuesday who MAKES cloth dipes for moms in need! She makes them out of used t-shirts! If any of you have any old tees, yes they can be dingy, please let me know and I will make sure she gets them! Think of the cute little bottoms you can help by giving your old t-shirts rather than using them for cleaning rags or sending them to Goodwill!
I have also found a FANTABULOUS site run by a FANTABULOUS woman who sells a variety of cloth dipes, baby carries, amber teething necklaces, accessories, etc., etc. who has been extremely helpful to me! You can visit her site here. She has gone over and above the call of duty for me and I am SO thankful to her!
